The current version of the free flash slideshow WordPress widget (version 1.1) is compatible with WordPress 2.7.1.
In the wordpress.org plugin directory, it says compatible up to 2.7, but that’s because we’re having some problems connecting to the repository, and therefore can’t update the info.

I have a questions about the plugin before I download it…
Can you put the slideshows in a post? and theoretically could I have 10 posts with 10 different slideshows in them?

Hi Britt, right now, there is no plugin version of the slideshow. I did a search on the wordpress site, and it looks to me like there is no plugin that allows you to add widgets to posts. But I did find a link to a description of how to include wordpress widgets in posts or page body. I didn’t try it myself, but if it works, you’d have to register a sidebar for each new slideshow you’d want to show. So for 10 posts with 10 different slideshows, 10 sidebars. I hope this is of some help to you.
