Hello Chaz, I took a look at your site, but I didn’t find the Creative Clans slide show, so I can’t help you. A white rectangle usually means the slide show can’t find the images (double check the path), but without seeing your settings, I really can’t say.

Keep checking the source code in your browser (right click and select view source in IE or view page source in Mozilla). I’ve had this working beautifully several times; made minor changes (size of image) and had the Wordpress editor add forced line breaks. It was less of a problem after I’d installed the advanced excerpt plugin. (I’d already installed advanced tiny MCE trying to fix the problem. – not completely successful.)

It also helped me to move the files with the configuration information (xmlconfigX.xml) and the list of slides (xmlslidesX.xml) to a new folder (from the wp-content/plugins/creative-clans-slide-show/) and
edit the post accordingly before moving the widget to the inactive list.

Wordpress seems to clear the list of files from the slides file as soon as I made it inactive. (VERY annoying).

Hi! I am having an issue with this plug in and I am not sure where I could be going wrong. All I get is a white rectangle where my images should be. Any thoughts on what the problem would be?

Hi Christian,

Right now there is no solution for this. The slide show automatically expands all images to fill the entire space. The next version (under development right now) will have the possibility to choose between auto-resizing the images, or displaying them in their original format.
So I’m afraid you’ll have to wait for the release of the next version. No release date has been planned yet.

Hi. I have downloaded your Creative Clans Slide Show and it seems like a very good picture/gallery widget.

I have a litte problem that I hope you can help me with…
The pictures show horizontal images perfectly, but when I add pictures that are taken vertically -they are much to wide. They get dragged out of porporsion if you know what I mean… I assume there is a (probably easy) way to set it so all images is getting showed correctly? I cannot find out how to do that, so if you could help me out here please, I’d appreciate it!?

Hi Mary,

I took a look at your site, but I couldn’t find the slide show.
My guess is, that the pics lose quality because they are resized by flash. The best result is obtained by using images that have the exact (or almost) size of the slide show window you specified in ‘width’ and ‘height’.
