Want to add a Google Adword conversion code to your thank-you page, and WordPress keeps messing up the code?
Want to split test your langing pages, but WordPress keeps changing the Google Website Optimizer code?
The Creative Clans Embed Script is the perfect solution for you!
It’s a minimalistic WordPress plugin that lets you add scripts to the beginning and/or end of any single page or post. Without having to hack your theme, or create a new page template.
The plugin is free, and is released under the GNU/GPL license.
There are two ways to install the plugin:
a) Use the ‘automatic install from the WordPress plugin directory’ option in the WordPress New widgets admin panel
OR
b) Download the zip-file, and use the ‘upload’ option in the WordPress New widgets admin panel
When installed, activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
Now you’re ready to go! Go to a post or page, open the edit screen, and on the right should appear a ‘Creative Clans Embed Scipt” box. Insert the scripts you want to add to the beginning and/or the end of the content part of the page or post. That’s all folks!

Great plugin! Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.
I do have one question:
When I post the Adwords conversion code, WordPress appears to convert the ‘greater than’ character (>) to >:
/* ]]> */
(1) Will this affect tracking?
(2) If so, is there a way to rectify?
That doesn’t happen to me. Can you send me a link (use the contact form if you don’t want to post it here) where I can check it out?
Use the ASCII characters while in HTML editor mode just before you click “Publish”:{http://www.ascii.cl/htmlcodes.htm} {>} or {>} to replace the ‘greater than Google code character ,if your Word Press settings changes it while Saving your page or post.
In Dashboard/Settings/Writing/Formatting: uncheck “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically”.
Also use the plugin ‘modernizr’, to get around some antiquated browser interpretations. Note the deliberate misspelling of ‘modernizr’.
Thanks for the replies. Let’s hope they solve Chanell’s problem.
I installed this plugin, but when I insert the google conversion tracking code wordpress still adds br tags and p tags to the code. I ‘m running the latest version of wordpress 3.3.1
Have you see this happen and is there a fix?
Thank you!
I haven’t seen that happen, so I’m sorry to say there is no fix. Could you send me a link to your site (use the contact form if you don’t want to post it here)?
