I have set up some slideshows that work great on firefox & Safari, but when viewed through internet explorer or chrome the slides fail to appear.

when i tried validating the page i got various errors to do with flash files and xhtml. see below……

You have used the attribute named above in your document, but the
document type you are using does not support that attribute for this
element. This error is often caused by incorrect use of the "Strict"
document type with a document that uses frames (e.g. you must use
the "Transitional" document type to get the "target" attribute), or
by using vendor proprietary extensions such as "marginheight" (this
is usually fixed by using CSS to achieve the desired effect instead).

This error may also result if the element itself is not supported in
the document type you are using, as an undefined element will have no
supported attributes; in this case, see the element-undefined error
message for further information.

How to fix: check the spelling and case of the element and attribute,
(Remember XHTML is all lower-case) and/or
check that they are both allowed in the chosen document type, and/or
use CSS instead of this attribute. If you received this error when using the
<embed> element to incorporate flash media in a Web page, see the
FAQ item on valid flash.

The link above goes to this section.

How can I include flash in valid (X)HTML Web pages?

Many Flash authoring tools recommend, or enforce, the usage of the <embed> element to include
flash animations or applications in Web pages. <embed>, however, was never part of any
standardized version of HTML, and this practice produces invalid markup.

There are many techniques to incorporate flash in valid web pages. One of the most famous is the
Flash Satay technique.

Have you tried using the satay technique ? it needs an entrey in the .swf file i think.

Is there any other things you think i could try ?

ok got it working now, and of course it was slight errors in my generated embed code.

I create a new post and post it there for others to use if they wish.

The code you posted still has the embed tag though, so it still doesn't validate, does it?
