Hi, thank you for the opportunity to be able to use such a cool plug-in. Smile Is it possible though to place the slideshow in the body?  I have it working fine in the sidebar but would like to be able to place it into the body of my homepage.  Have been going cross-eyed for the last few hours trying to find a way.  Any advice would be very much appreciated.

The widget can be placed in any widget area present in your template.

To use it in a post, read this.

Hello again, I'm still not having success is it because the theme I am using only allows for widgets to be placed in the sidebar?  I have tried copying the code into a post as suggested above but then when I view my page I see just the text code with a large white space, like it has created the room for the slides show but is not showing images only the text below;

codebase=”http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,0,0″
width=”279″ height=”184″>

type=”application/x-shockwave-flash”
pluginspage=”http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer”
wmode=”opaque”
width=”279″ height=”184″
FlashVars=”config=http://www.creativeclans.nl/wp-content/plugins/creative-clans-slide-show/xmlconfig334758931.xml&slides=http://www.creativeclans.nl/wp-content/plugins/creative-clans-slide-show/xmlslides334758931.xml” />

It has knocked out the object tags but they are there just as you have it inside my post ( I added it in the html editor).  I also wondered if I should change the http://www.creativeclans.nl bit to read my own site and that didn't work.

I'm sorry I am a bit of a simpleton when it comes to this bit.

Appreciate any help, thanks Kesbo.Embarassed

What you have to do is follow the instructions in the article I linked you to.

If you just copied the code in that article, and posted it in your post, then you aren't doing it right. What you should do is create a slideshow in the sidebar of your site, then copy the html code of that slideshow (right click in your browser and choose something like 'show HTML' or 'show code'), and paste that code in a post in the HTML view of your WP editor.

If you don't post it in the HTML view, then it'll just show up as text.

If you can't get it to work, just let me know using the contact form (see 'contact' in the top menu). I'm sure we can work something out.

More than that, you need to remove any line breaks when paste the sourceview code into your post.

Another point: this also works in a page.

Going to have some more fun with it now.

Bedankt!
