As anticipated earlier today, version 1.1 of our free flash slideshow Joomla module is being released!

This module lets you use version 1.2 of our slideshow in your Joomla 1.5 websites. Installation is easy. Just download the latest version of the free flash slideshow Joomla module, and install the it in your joomla admin panel.

Once installed, you can set all the parameters through the module admin page. Take a look at the CCSlideShow user guide for a complete list of all parameters.

You can have more than one slide show on your pages, simply by copying the module.

The joomla module is released under the GNU/GPL license.

The CCSlideShow.swf flash file included in the module is released under this license. As long as the flash file is a part of the ccslideshow joomla module, you are free to use it as if it was released under GNU/GPL as well. If you want to use it outside of the ccslideshow joomla module, then you’ll have to abide the rules of this this license.

In this new version, it will be possible to specify the target window of the link. Until now, clicking on the slide (assuming links are enabled) always opened a new window. But from the new version on, you’ll have the possibility to choose from four possible targets:

- the current frame in the current window

- a new window

- the parent of the current frame

- the top-level frame in the current window.

1. The four parameters that must be inserted have been placed to the top of the interface, instead of in the middle and at the end. Much more logical, of course.

2. The label of the ‘number of slides’ parameter erroneously said ‘wait’. Now it says ‘number of slides’.

So there is no reason to update to this version if you’re happy with the previous one.…
